KT5000 Peel Force Tester for carrier tapes

The peel force is a critical parameter for any user of carrier tapes.

If the adhesive force of the cover tape is too low, there is a risk of the cover tape becoming loose and the components falling out of the belt. However, if this force is too high, there can be difficulties in peeling off the cover tape, which can lead to disruptions in the placement machines.

The K-TECH Peel Force Tester KT5000 measures the peel force according to current standards. Its design guarantees a constant peel angle and peel point. A force measuring system with DMS sensor, that calibrates itself before each measurement, determines the measured values.

Via USB interface the measured values can be transferred to a PC for logging and further analyses.
